Automatic lubricators are commonly utilised on pump and fan bearing associated with the air and water handling equipment for large buildings.  For these applications manual greasing is typically not practical due to the fact that maintenance staff are rarely located on site.  The outsourcing of maintenance means that regular manual greasing is not practical from a cost point of view.
