perma Crane Wheel Lubricator

The perma CWL (Crane Wheel Lubricator) automatically applies lubricant to crane wheel flanges to reduce wear and noise.  The lubricant delivery system is based on either the perma Star Vario or perma Pro electro-mechanical lubrication systems.

Lubricant is applied via a spring loaded applicator, referred to as the CWL Applicator.  The lubricant specified for this system has a high content of solid lubricants including graphite and molybdenum disulphide (moly).

Correctly installed and maintained CWL systems reduce wheel flange wear and therefore also reduce crane maintenance costs and crane downtime related to wheel replacement.

For cranes which generate noise associated with wheel flange and rail sliding friction the CWL system can be used to effectively reduce the friction and the noise generation.
