perma CLASSIC

The perma CLASSIC is an electro-chemical, single point lubricator that delivers optimal lubrication to machine elements such as rolling element bearings and chains.  The perma Classic single point lubricator provides reliable grease dispensing and is an economical alternative to manual greasing.

The design of the perma CLASSIC is simple and robust, providing a reliable and easy to use automatic lubricator.  As a result the perma CLASSIC is the most widely used single point lubricator in the World.

The lubricator comprises two primary components: 1) Main Lubricator Body and 2) Activating Screw. After activation gas accumulates in a sealed chamber, creating pressure to gradually expels the lubricant.

The rate of grease dispensing is controlled by the activator type uses (Type 1, 3, 6 or 12) and the operating conditions, in particular the average ambient temperature at the point of installation.  The activator screws are calibrated such that a Type 1 activator will dispense the grease in approximately 1 month when the average ambient temperature is 20ºC (type 3 in 3 months and so on). 

* Dispensing rates are affected by ambient temperature and application back-pressure.

Example Installation 1 - perma CLASSIC automatic lubricator installed using 3/8" internal diameter grease line and a compact cage hanger bracket to lubricate the seal of a conveyor pulley bearing.

Example Installation 2 - perma CLASSIC automatic lubricator direct mounted to the seal of a conveyor pulley bearing.  While the seal is automically purged the bearing is periodically manually lubricated.
