Automatic single point lubricators were invented in 1964 by the Germany company which is known today as perma-tec GmbH & Co – the very first automatic single point lubricator was the perma CLASSIC. Since 1964 the perma CLASSIC has been modified and improved and remains one of the most popular automatic lubricator products in the world.

Since 1964 a broad range of perma automatic lubricator products has been developed which today is the most comprehensive and technically sound available in the world. During this time the term permalube has become the generic reference for automatic single point lubricators.
